Anchor Bolts:
1" diameter A449 galvanized high strength anchor bolts can be provided in a variety of lengths to suit different overlay conditions. Patented removable anchors (Removakel ™) with special coatings are available for barriers used in temporary locations.
Anchor Bonding:
High strength polyester resin bonds each anchor to the structural concrete deck and are proof-torqued to 36 kips once the resin has cured. Permanent installation anchors are post tensioned and provided with a Bonded Pre-Load BPLTM by resin bonding them to the specially designed conical shaped barrier bolt hole.
End Connections:
All barriers are end connected by a minimum of three deformed reinforcement dowels. For permanent installations these dowels are bonded into tapered concentric dowel holes at both ends of each barrier to ensure the transfer of loads across the joints between adjacent barriers.
Expansion Joints:
Barriers can be manufactured with skewed ends and can also incorporate the continuity of bridge expansion joints across road decks.
Installation:
Barriers can be installed year round. Complete written instructions are provided to installers and an instructional visit from a Clampcrete representative can be made at the beginning of installation.
